Due to the strong interest in CGUE 2026: Exceptions to the Rules, the registration deadline has been extended until August 31, 2026 (23:59 CET), with no increase in the registration fees.

Join an international community of researchers exploring comparative genomics, eukaryotic evolution, genome innovation, and the remarkable diversity of unicellular systems. The program features invited and contributed talks, poster sessions, early-career activities, and dedicated opportunities for scientific discussion and networking.

As a residential meeting, CGUE 2026 offers a unique environment for collaboration and scientific exchange in the beautiful setting of Sant Feliu de Guíxols.

Spaces are limited, and registrations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to register early to secure your place.

Registration includes:

• Accommodation (shared rooms) at Eden Roc Hotel (worth €155 per night)
• Meals at Eden Roc Hotel (including breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch, and dinner, worth over €130 per day)
• Coffee breaks
• Transfers to/from El Prat Barcelona’s airport (included)

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be notified in writing. Refunds can be issued for cancellations received before June 10, 2026, subject to an administration fee of €50. After this date, refunds will not be issued.

Delegate substitutions are permitted at any time. If the substitute participant belongs to a different registration category, any difference in the applicable fee must be paid.

Registration policy

This meeting has a maximum capacity of 150 participants, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for registration is August 31, 2026 (23:59 CET) . Registrations will be accepted on a rolling basis, and participation is confirmed upon completion of the registration and payment process.

Final Flash Abstracts

Your last chance to submit a poster abstract

A final abstract submission period will be open from August 1 to August 15, 2026.

Submissions are accepted for poster presentations only and under the same conditions as the regular abstract submission period.

Poster specifications

The space is designed for a vertical poster with dimensions of 90 x 120 cm (width x height), which corresponds to A0 portrait format.
